Lots of great things have happened over the past months.? All of the accomplishments made in 2011 are now?in the history books.? I won't leave you hanging! Stay tuned for a recap of the amazing feats that happened so quickly the challenge became capturing all of these exciting moments in words.? So, please be patient with me as I attempt to discuss the recent past while focusing on the wonderful opporunities in the present. Mobley-Stimpson, PhillySportsMom.blogspot.com; Jim Britt, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation; and James Osborne, School of Leadership and Development.This presentation will focus on the interlinks between faith-based agencies, families, and sports as motivators and encouragers of whole life living and academic scholarship. Ms. Mobley-Stimpson, a Palmer Seminarian and Sider Center Scholar, will profile her work as a mother of elite athletes, fifth-generation South Philadelphians who today are college athletes and Major League Baseball Prospects. Their journey through the ?ranks,? as well as key principles that must be the focus of youth sports development, will be discussed. The session will suggest means that faith-based organizations, churches, community development corporations, & community-based organizations can more effectively build their programs.
